This is what I collect about you, why I need it, where it’s kept and what you can ask me to do with it. It covers this website, the questionnaires and the coaching itself.

Who’s responsible for it

I’m Lee Endley, trading as Lee Endley Online Fitness Coach, and I’m the one responsible for your information. If you’ve got a question about any of this, email me at coach.leeendley@gmail.com.

What I collect

  • When you apply or book a call: your name, your email, what you’ve told me about what you want and what you’ve tried before, and the time you’ve booked.
  • When you pay: your name, email and billing details. Stripe handles your card, so I never see the full number.
  • Before and during coaching: what you tell me in your questionnaires and check-ins. That covers things like your age, height, weight, training history, what you eat, how you sleep, and your health.
  • Your progress: photos, measurements, the sessions and weights you log, and anything you choose to connect from a watch or tracker, such as sleep and steps.
  • Anything you send me, by email or any other way you get in touch.
  • If you download my free guide: your name and email.

Your health information

Injuries, pain, medical conditions, medication and pregnancy are the most sensitive things you’ll tell me, and the law treats them that way. I use them for one thing, keeping your training safe and right for you, and only because you’ve agreed to that in your questionnaire.

You can take that agreement back at any time. I can’t safely coach you without it, though, so taking it back means the coaching stops.

What I use it for

  • Coaching you: building and adjusting your programme, answering your questions and reviewing your progress. That’s what our agreement is for.
  • Taking payment, and keeping the records the law says I have to keep.
  • Replying when you apply or get in touch, and keeping track of the business, like who’s booked a call.
  • Showing other people your progress, but only if you’ve said yes, and you can change your mind whenever you like.

I don’t sell your information, I don’t use it for advertising, and nothing about you is decided by a computer on its own.

Who else sees it

Your information is seen by me, and by anyone who works with me on your coaching. It’s also stored with the services I use to run the business, which only handle it to provide their service to me:

  • Google, for email, forms, spreadsheets and file storage
  • Stripe, for payments
  • Cal.com, for booking calls
  • Trainerize, the app your coaching runs in
  • Gumroad, for the free guide
  • Umami, for counting visits to this website
  • the company that hosts this website
  • whichever app you choose to message me on

If the law requires me to share something, I will. Nobody else gets it.

Your photos and results

They stay private unless you’ve told me I can share them. If you have, you’ll see anything before it goes out, and you can take your permission back at any time for anything new.

Where it’s kept

Some of those services are based outside the UK, mostly in the United States, and I travel for work, so your information may be looked at from outside the UK too. Wherever it goes, it’s covered by the protections UK data protection law requires.

How long I keep it

  • If you apply or book a call and don’t go ahead: up to 12 months, then it’s deleted.
  • If you’re a client: for as long as you’re coached, and for six years after, in case there’s ever a question about the coaching.
  • Payment records: as long as tax rules require.
  • Permission to share your progress: until you take it back.

What you can ask me to do

You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how I use it, to stop using it, or to send it to you or someone else in a format you can use. Email me at coach.leeendley@gmail.com and I’ll reply within a month. A few things, like payment records, I may have to keep.

If you’re not happy

Tell me first and I’ll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

This website

leeendley.com doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. I count visits with Umami, which works without cookies and doesn’t identify you. It tells me things like how many people visited, which pages they looked at, where they came from, the kind of device and browser, and which country they’re in, all as totals, so I can see what’s working. That data is stored in the EU. The pages load their fonts from Google, so your browser connects to Google when you visit. The payment and booking pages belong to Stripe and Cal.com and run under their own privacy policies.

Changes

If this changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes too, and if you’re a client I’ll tell you.
